As part of Jump Festa 2022, today announcedthat an anime adaptation of “Chainsaw Man” would be broadcast on Japanese television during the following year. You can check out a new teaser further down in this article.
Anime is made on MAPPA
“Chainsaw Man” is directed by Ryu Nakayama (“Raison d’etre”) at MAPPA Studio (“Attack on Titan: Final Season”, “Jujutsu Cassen”). Hiroshi Seiko (“Attack on Titan: Final Season”) is writing the script, while Tatsuya Yoshihara is the action director.
Kazutaka Sugiyama (“Mushoku Tensei”) contributes to the character design. Kensuke Ushio (»Japan Sync: 2020«) is responsible for the background music. Details on the Japanese voice actors and a specific start date are still pending.
The anime is based on a manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto that was published in “Weekly Shnen Jump” magazine between December 2018 and December 2020. The second part will debut in the “Shonen Jump+” app in the summer of 2022. The work of the Egmont manga is published in this country.
