Cleaning instead of building cars - advertising the company with fake Tesla jobs - BZ Berlin

Tesla is looking for thousands of workers for its Brandenburg car plant. But a temporary employment company advertising “Tesla Jobs” doesn’t even exist. until BZ disclosed the fraudulent labeling.

“Cars are your passion? Then we have the right job for you at TESLA!” Thus the temporary employment agency “Tempo Team” looked for “workers in production for TESLA” on eBay in Grunheide near Berlin.

An open-ended employment contract was offered as a “production assistant” with holiday and Christmas bonuses. Only the salary remained questionable: 11 euros per hour, about 1900 euros per month. But Tesla also wants to pay 2700 euros to unskilled people.

Frankfurt (Oder) Employment Agency: “We are not aware of advertised positions for ‘production staff for Tesla’.” Of course, the factory is not producing yet.

But a “tempo team” employee assured me over the phone: “You can start right away. The factory is already there. That’s where you work. It’s mainly about cleaning activities. A few months with us.” Afterwards, you can be taken in by Tesla.”

A company spokesperson later acknowledged: “Tempo-Team is not commissioned by Tesla to recruit employees, nor are external Tempo-Team employees working at Tesla.” The ad is “a mistake” and has now been removed.

When asked, she explains what the “tempo team” is really looking for: “cleaners for a service provider on a Tesla site.” Wiping up dirt instead of building cars. Spokesperson: “There was no intention of deception at any time.”
