from drama one Charlene von Monaco (43) continues!
The princess has been in her old home in South Africa for months while husband Albert II, 63, waits at the Palais Princire in Monaco. So far, health problems have prevented Charlene from returning. Now comes the next blow: he has to go under the knife!
“Princess Charlene will undergo a four-hour operation under general anesthesia today, Friday, August 13,” said a statement from the principality quoted in the “Nice Matin” newspaper.
Further details about the operation – for example, why Charlene really needed treatment – have not been given. This is not the first surgery of the 43-year-old this year.
In May the palace announced that Charlene was suffering from an “ENT infection” and that it was preventing her from returning to Monaco. The princess later said in an interview with “Channel 24” that she was not allowed to fly more than 6,000 meters because there was no pressure in her ears.
“I can’t force treatment, so I’ll be in South Africa until the end of October,” the mother of two continued.
Health problems had already started before the trip to South Africa: the princess had to undergo a maxillary sinus lift. The operation was necessary because Charlene needed a dental implant, but there was not enough space in her jaw.
Albert and Charlene are currently in a long distance relationship
Charlene and Albert have been living separately since March. It is rumored that the princess feels more comfortable in her homeland and does not want to return. In public, though, it seems different with Charlene. In an interview with “Channel 24” a few weeks ago, she said: “It’s so disappointing. I miss my husband and kids, Jackie and Bella so much!”
But the former swimmer could also play poker and rely on her husband to adapt to her situation. A Palest insider on Bild: “She wants to put Albert under pressure, too. She wants the twins to come closer to South Africa, wants a real job in life.”
