On June 13, 2019, as part of the Conference of Interior Ministers, the Interior Ministers of Baden-Württemberg, the Free State of Bavaria, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland signed a cooperation agreement to tackle criminal offenses in public places.

Interior Minister Claus Bouillon: “Ensuring security in public places, in which a large part of our social and social life takes place, is an enduring focus of the work of the Saarland Police. Feeling safe here is also one of the basic needs of the people. Shared Safety Day is an opportunity to reinforce this with targeted, cross-agency coordinated measures and to set priorities and signals across national borders. In the context of joint cooperation, prevention and, if necessary, street crime, violent crime and The prosecution of narcotics offenses, but especially dangerous traffic offenses, will to this day be the attention of security officials complemented by appropriate prevention proposals.”
