Dacia wants to make Germany's cheapest electric car even more attractive: anyone who completes a purchase application for the new Spring with a leasing or financing contract signed by September 30, 2024, will receive the cost of electricity for the first 25,000 kilometers of mileage, according to the terms of the contract. According to Dacia, this corresponds to a benefit of 1,471.69 euros.
The second generation of the Spring, which will be launched soon, is regularly priced at 16,900 euros in Germany – and is therefore significantly cheaper than the discontinued model that was last offered at 22,750 euros. The new model is available for the first time in three equipment variants known from the brand's other series: Essential, Expression and Extreme. The latest Spring displays the new Dacia design language introduced with the new generation Duster.
The 48 kW/65 hp engine, now available from the Expression equipment line, accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in less than 14 seconds. The new spring with 33 kW/44 hp can be ordered in the Essential and Expression equipment variants. Acceleration to 100 km/h is reached here in just under 19 seconds.
Energy comes from a 26.8 kWh high-voltage battery, which ensures a range of over 220 kilometres with all versions. According to Dacia, thanks to its moderate weight of 984 kg and efficient drive train, the new Spring satisfies an average of 14.6 kWh/100 km according to WLTP.
The new Spring offers a 7 kW AC charger as standard that can charge the battery from 20 per cent to 100 per cent in less than 11 hours from a household outlet or in four hours from a 7 kW wallbox. A 30 kW DC charger is available as an option, allowing faster charging from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in 45 minutes.
