The game starts the following week on Wednesday at 7 pm and on Thursday at 11 am. These are the only two Test games selected by the German Ice Hockey Federation before leaving for Canada.

On behalf of Women’s National Coach Christian Kunast, Youth National Coach Franziska Butch, who has been coaching the DEB Women in the World Cup, has nominated 26 players for the second leg. There are also Sandra Abstreiter (Providence College) and Katrina Jobst-Smith (University of Minnesota-Duluth), who are active in North America. Mary Delarber (ERC Ingolstadt) is now joining the team after her injury in February.

After Phase Two, the Deb Squad will spend another week before the third week at home training, preparing for the World Cup on April 16 in Fusen. Since then, the DEB team has already been subject to test specifications for the World Cup and will then travel to Canada on 22 April. On May 1 only, participating teams are allowed to go on ice after an eight-day individual quarantine in Halifax and True.

Youth national coach Franziska Busch: “Now we will work more on strategic things, because we are almost full – and try players in different positions. In friendship against Austria we want to do the work that we have done and play a role. It is important that we internalize the specifications for our system and a focus will therefore be on the outnumber game as well. We want to deepen, consolidate knowledge and where there is still problem. ‘
