Delivery problem at McDonald’s in Germany
Munich Fast food chain McDonald’s is currently unable to offer all products the way customers are used to. What could be behind this?
Anyone who currently happens to order their favorite burger at a McDonald’s branch may be disappointed. After customers complained on the Internet that products like “MacRib” had not been available for weeks, the group has now confirmed this. It is about “operational difficulties” in one of the logistics partners, which led to the disruption of several products.
As “Hanoversch Allgemine” reports, a cyber attack on logistics service provider HAVI may be behind it. However, Heavy supplies not only McDonald’s, but Backworks, Nordsea, KFC and other fast-food chains. Nordsee branches also have notices indicating distribution problems regarding cyberattacks.
According to McDonald’s, they are “working with everyone involved to find a solution as quickly as possible”. However, it is not clear how long the problems will continue and which branches or products will be affected.
