EverQuest: Players awaken the legendary dragon Kerafyram

from Maximilian Hohm ,
More than 20 years after the release of EverQuest, a guild has decided to raise the legendary dragon Kerafyrum, which has a huge impact on the game on the servers and is irreplaceable. Therefore, read below about the Guild Seal team and how the fight against the Dragon ended.

23 years after its release, EverQuest is still a hugely popular MMO. There are now 28 expansions for the title, the last of which will only be unveiled in December 2021. However, it is not original enough for hard core players and so they now prefer to play on servers such as the three year old “Project 1999 Green”, where EverQuest is still played in a nostalgic original form.

Only the first two extensions are used and many modern features that have only been added over time are completely missing. There are no XP potions via micro-transactions, no auction houses and long hours of surveillance by raid bosses, for which special teams are used.

Earlier on Project 1999 Green, the Guild Seal team had the upper hand and monopoly over the tomb containing the mythical dragon Kerafyrum by controlling dragons with keystones. However, after the Guild Kingdom obtained some of these keystones, some players on the Seal team decide to awaken the great dragon. This decision is irreversible and means that some players will never get the loot they want from the grave again, but otherwise you risk turning down members who may have tried to raise the dragon to a different faction.

So it was decided to wake up the dragon and invite the other players to stay there. However, in response to these actions, he killed Lord Yellinck and over 350 players failed to kill Kerafyram. He killed many players and then despised forever, so the server now remains after all and will likely fade into obscurity. Nonetheless, it’s a great nostalgic moment for fans of the game that will be hard to top.
