Ex-NYC subway boss Andy Byford won't be 'Tube Daddy' in London

New York’s previous “Train Daddy” Andy Byford has a new gig functioning London’s transportation method — but don’t call him “Tube Daddy.”

Byford — who oversaw the Massive Apple’s subways ahead of abruptly resigning in February — demurred when requested by the Night Standard whether his nickname would stay on in London, where by the underground is acknowledged colloquially as “The Tube.”

“I want to just, driving the scenes, quietly get on with two major priorities which I’ve established myself,” Byford advised the paper.
