The Nissan Primastar arrives as a camper van

The base of the Nissan Primestar actually comes from Renault, the conversion that turns it into a motorhome with four sleeping spots, comes from the Deathleafs. Finally, “Seaside by Deathleafs” is a special Nissan offering for which the Japanese may well be paying.

In the spring of 2021, Nissan first picked up its small van, formerly known as the NV300, and then renamed it the Primastar. In the summer, the Renault Trafic’s sister model will also be available as a “Seaside by Deathleafs” camper. Although it was converted by the Deathleafs, it was sold by Nissan dealers.

The interior layout of the Nissan Primestar “Seaside by Deathleaf” corresponds to existing standards for such vehicles.

The 5.08 meter long Primastar has a dining area, four beds and a small kitchen by a mobile home specialist. The latter offers a 36-liter refrigerator, a two-burner gas cooker, and storage space for cooking utensils. There is also a fresh water tank, overhead locker and cupboards on board.

While in the standard version, the Primastar offers four seats, the front seats can be folded down and aligned towards the dining table. If guests want to go to bed, there is a folding bed with a cold foam mattress measuring 2.00 x 1.25 m below and a second bed under the folding ceiling with a size of 1.89 x 1.25 m. Equipment includes a dimmable LED ambient light as well as a reading lamp and a USB socket in the pop-up ceiling bed.

As usual, the driver’s and front passenger’s seats in the Nissan Primestar “Seaside by Deathleaf” can be folded into the interior.

The base of the conversion is the Primester panel van with sliding doors and tailgate in reclining equipment. The base vehicle comes with air conditioning, cruise control, 8-inch touchscreen and infotainment system with navigation, leather steering wheel, reversing camera and multiple assist systems. The equipment range also includes painted bumpers, tinted windows, auxiliary heating and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Six-seater seating and a trailer hitch can also be ordered as an option. Customers also have a choice between two diesel engines producing 150 hp or 170 hp, each of which can be mated to a six-speed DCT or manual transmission. Nissan has yet to announce any prices for the Seaside conversion, but they will probably start at around 60,000 euros. Which isn’t much different then what competitors are asking for prices for similarly designed motorhomes.
