Enthusiasts have launched a petition to rename New York City’s Longacre Theatre in memory of Broadway star Nick Cordero, who handed away on Sunday due to difficulties from coronavirus.
The Longacre, which was house to Cordero’s final broadway show “A Bronx Tale,” was crafted in 1912 and is at present named after Longacre Square — the unique title for Periods Sq.. The rechristened theatre would be termed “The Nick Cordero Theatre.”
The petition experienced more than 26,000 signatures on Tuesday.
“‘A Bronx Tale, The Musical’ was the previous Broadway show Nick Cordero starred in. This musical established a report as the longest-jogging musical in Longacre record,” the petition reads.

Cordero, who was 41 at the time of his dying, was admitted to the Cedar-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles back in April. He had his right leg amputated, and was held in a medically induced coma for the bulk of his hospitalization.
