When the male stopped going, they turn on his spouse and slash at her until she collapses. The attackers then go absent, seemingly without the need of any worry about becoming recognised.

Sankar had died in the clinic from abnormal bleeding. Kausalya took a very long time to get well. She lived with Sankar’s loved ones, who are farmers, and re-married in December 2018.
