Work is in full swing For the past few days, workers have been digging a 100 meter long and three meter deep pit in the production hall. Battery and motor are to be installed here in future.
Ford buys 14 new robots for the paint shop. Four of them will remove the dust from the body after the first production. Then they spray paint by the remaining ten robotic arms.
“Until now, this was done by a stationary system with glands,” says Ford engineer Britta Durscheid (31). The new technology should reduce energy consumption by about 2,600 megawatt-hours.
