Ulbricht has been playing since the end of his loan Phoenix Lubeki (October to December 2020) again York United FC, for which the Hamburg native has appeared in 15 matches this season and scored two goals. Warschewski has been wearing his shoes since February 2021 FC Edmonton, when he and the eagle carrier separated again after a good six months. The attacker, who has already played for Germany’s U19s, made 23 appearances for the 7th Division of the Premier League, scoring three times.
Last weekend the two players finally reunited and fought with their teams for key points in Canada’s First Division. After 90 minutes there was no winner. The teams drew 1–1, with Ulbricht drawn in the 53rd minute to level for third in the table.
“It was a great feeling to be on the pitch with Toby. Initially I underestimated the level of the league, but I worked hard to become a regular player. We still have four games to play and the goal is definitely to reach the playoffs. I like to look back on my time in Phoenix and watch the game,” says former adler Julian Ulbricht, who is on holiday in Germany at the end of the year and plans to visit his old team.
