The noose keeps tightening around Donald Trump: A former employee of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate is asked to burden the former president with his testimony.
A former employee of Donald Trump is making heavy allegations against his former employer in a dispute over government documents confiscated from Trump’s personal home. Trump asked him to clear boxes of documents, some of which were classified, at his home in Florida after the former US president received a request to return the documents. Newspaper “Washington Post” and broadcaster CNN reported this on Wednesday.
The employee, who worked at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, was cooperating with the Justice Department and has been questioned multiple times by federal officials, media reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The FBI also has surveillance video of a witness clearing boxes from a storage room.
According to the report, the witness handled the sensitive documents
The report said the witness initially denied handling the sensitive documents, but later admitted to carrying the boxes at Trump’s request.
