“I don’t think he’s even trying” – With these words about Lewis Hamilton, the former boss of formula 1Bernie Ecclestone recently caused a stir. He assumed that Hamilton didn’t care whether he lost or not.

Ecclestone made his statement ahead of Hamilton’s home race at Silverstone. Britain had just finished on the podium in Canada – for only the second time this season. At least since Silverstone, Hamilton has made it clear that the fire in them is still burning.

Because for Mercedes in general and for the record world champions individually, things are getting much better again. Canada was followed by two more podiums at the UK GP and now the Austrian GP.
