FRITZ!  Box 7590 and 7590 AX: Laboratory Update is distributed

Replenishment in AVM NO NEW FRITZ! Box and no final version of FRITZ!OS, but fresh food for those who like to test. Specifically, FRITZ! Box 7590 and 7590 AX are currently receiving a lab update. Anyone already using the lab version can download the update straight out of the box, everyone else will. found on this website,

Note for users who are not using the lab version but want to try it out:

  1. YOUR FRITZ! Read and confirm the information displayed on the AVM Laboratory page for the box.
  2. Click “Download” and save the file to your computer.
  3. Unpacks the lab file (*.zip).
  4. FRITZ! Update via the Box user interface and select “View: Advanced” in the footer.
  5. Select “System/Update” from the menu.
  6. Select the “FRITZ!OS File” tab. Save the settings of your FRITZ!Box. The performance must also be confirmed.
  7. Use “Select File” to select the firmware file you downloaded earlier.
  8. Click “Start Update”.
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions.

During the update process the FRITZ! The “Info” LED on the box flashes. It ends when the update process is complete. Be patient, this process may take a few minutes. As soon as the update is complete, FRITZ! The box is restarted and ready to operate again.

Internet:

FRITZ!OS . further improvement in

Internet:

  • Fixed Notifications delayed for Android apps (including WhatsApp) in WLAN (6490)
  • Fixed Front page devices in the guest network were not connected to the Internet via IPv6
  • Improvement Added failover detection via DNS verification for enhanced failover protection
  • Improvement With automatic switching to the public DNS server, the public DNS server used is displayed in the online monitor

Telephony:

  • Fixed Newly created phone numbers may have been created with the “read-only” property and therefore cannot be edited
  • Fixed In the name of telephony equipment, umlauts were converted to special characters in some circumstances.
  • Improvement Modified display of caller number if user and network provided number is present in the call list
  • Improvement Optimization of the automatic setup of phone numbers by the Internet provider
  • Improvement Modified text for push mail from fax function and answering machine
  • Improvement Support for multiple call scenarios with voice data transmission before answering the call (p-early-media)

System:

  • Improvement Fields of information are consolidated on the overview page
  • Improvement In the “Home Network / Mesh” menu, the display of 6 GHz connections to WLAN devices has been added

Cellular:

  • Fixed Auto-detection of SIM card matching provider sometimes ran endlessly when there was no match (68xx only)
  • Improvement Extended failure protection also supports smartphones and mobile phone sticks with tethering function
  • Change Basic failover removed – legacy configuration has been moved to advanced failover

USB:

  • Fixed Added radio stations were only displayed after manual indexing

FRITZ!Labour in FRITZ!OS . Improving

Internet:

  • Fixed With remote access from the Internet, the page “Fritz!box user” could not be reached
  • Fixed The Internet connection was displayed as “Not Online” although the FRITZ! The Box was connected to the Internet via a WAN port
  • Fixed Import of WireGuard configuration file with remote station with manually specified IP address was rejected and not imported
  • Fixed No establishment of direct connection via USP via MyFRITZ!Net (FRITZ! Box 6850 LTE only)
  • Fixed correction of masked in tftp area
  • Improvement Modification of WireGuard event messages
  • Improvement Automatic switching to public DNS servers is disabled by default if adjustments have been made to DNS settings

wireless Internet access:

  • Fixed Activating WPS through the user interface did not work
