Regensburg.The son of the castle owner grew up in Regensburg, experienced the end of the Nazi regime with horror and a new beginning in Canada in 1969. Over the years, the flamboyant pensioner visited his relatives in the cathedral city. But now Hermann Freiherr von Fiten said goodbye for good. He explains to the Middle Bavarian why he left Regensburg – and how difficult it was for him to say goodbye.
