About travel and cats
Hep Kerkling gets two new shows
In autumn Hep Kerkling celebrates his big return after many years of TV abstinence. The 56-year-old will return to Vox with two new shows. Travel enthusiasts as well as cat fans can look forward to it.
He was away from TV for seven years, now Hep Kerkling is back on screen in late 2021. Broadcaster Vox gives the entertainer two shows that tackle two of her biggest passions: her cats and travel. In “Heap and the 7 Dwarf States”, Kerkling travels through Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican trying to figure out how these mini-countries came into being and how they came to be. How can you live for so long? what’s your secret? What tickles the country and its people?
In “An Evening with Hep Kerkling” the comedian reads from his new book “Pause of the Table! My Cats, Other Cats and Me” at the Hansa Theater in Hamburg. During the reading, you will also get information about the world of Hap. With Dunja Hayali, Kerkling saw her career on stage. Readings will take place on September 23 and 24, with the interview with Hayali on September 25. Vox then bundles appearances into one show. An exact transmission date has not yet been determined.
Looking forward to kerkling adventures
“I’m really looking forward to working with Vox and two programs that fit me like fists,” enthuses Kerkling. “Travel, my cats and my TV career have shaped and changed my life and is always a great adventure,” continues the actor and entertainer. “I am very happy that it is starting now,” he adds.
Kerkling became one of Germany’s most popular showmasters, particularly through formats such as “Total Normal” or “Die Welt Laughs” in the 1990s. His fictional characters, such as Horst Schlammer, were also well received. On December 9, 2014, on the occasion of his 50th birthday, Kerkling was last seen on ZDF with a satirical anniversary celebration. Then he retired from show business in a big way.
