GTA 5 first came out in 2013 and is still one of the most popular action games for PC and consoles. After the game was originally released for the PS3 and Xbox 360, there were correspondingly adapted versions when the PS4 and Xbox One (X) were released. Now the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions should appear immediately. Read more about their special features below.
Still Rockstar’s all-time favorite, GTA 5 is currently being remastered for third-generation consoles. But PC players and users of “older” consoles should also be able to benefit from the modification. Two weeks before its release on current consoles, the developers published more details in a post on Rockstar Wire.
GTA 5: Tinkerer plays GTA V on the Game Boy
GTA V is said to be the first time on the new console to offer different graphics modes that players can choose between. The Fidelity presets offer a native resolution of 4K including ray tracing and aim for 30 frames per second. Due to lower performance, the Xbox Series S only supports this mode in upscaled 4K instead of the native resolution. The Display mode, which will probably be of interest to most gamers, offers an enhanced 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. As a compromise, there’s also Display RT mode, which also uses upscaled 4K, but is supposed to offer ray tracing at 60 frames per second as well. All the next generation versions are said to offer better anti-aliasing, better lighting, more detailed vegetation and faster loading times.
The PS5 controller with haptic feedback is supported and should offer different resistances depending on the in-game weather on the different surfaces. Tempest 3D audio and spatial sound should also be supported. Five new vehicles will be added to the online mode and new updates and a new mode for racing will be available. In the online mode new players will initially receive 4,000,000 GTA dollars, vehicles, weapons and a tutorial. They should be able to start in robbery, race and free mode directly through the main menu. GTA V and GTA Online for current consoles are due for release on March 15th and can be downloaded in preload starting March 8th.
