Hamburg Pioneers strengthen defense with linebacker Kurtis Shaffer coming from Canada - Football - Fan.ed

Along with Canadian Kurtis Christian Shaffer, the Hamburg Pioneers have found the reinforcements in defense they were looking for in Canada at the linebacker’s position. Shaffer most recently played as a team captain at Queen’s University (Ottawa), where he is pursuing a Bachelor in Physical Health and Education, and was invited to CFL Combine.

Prior to this he played for the Bel-Air Marines at NCAFA and was named an NCAFA All-Star as a rogue. Curtis (23) has been playing football for 16 years and has chosen Hamburg Pioneers as the coaching staff always made him feel very good in the recruitment process and dealt with all the concerns of his family with great respect. Last but not least, Kurti’s family does not have German ancestors and so it was always his dream to one day play and live in Germany.

Kurtis strives to promote GFL2 with the Hamburg Pioneers and, as a personal goal, is entering his master’s degree to become a certified mental performance consultant in counseling and intervention at the University of Ottawa.

Along with Canadian Kurtis Christian Schofer, the Hamburg Pioneers have found reinforcements for their defense that they were looking for in Canada at the linebacker position. Shaffer last played as a team captain at Queen’s University (Ottawa), where he was working in his Bachelor of Physical Health and Education and was invited to CFL Combined.

Prior to this he played for the Bel-Air Marines at NCAFA and was named an NCAFA All-Star as a rogue. Kurtis (23) has been playing football for 16 years and has chosen Hamburg Pioneers because of how comfortable the coaching staff made him feel through the recruitment process. Kurtis: “He was very respectful and genuine about my and my family’s concerns. Also, my family heritage is German so I have a dream to live and play in Germany.

The Curtis team aims to win championships and advance to GFL 2 and their personal goal is to gain acceptance into their master’s program at the University of Ottawa for counseling and intervention and to become a Certified Mental Performance Counselor.
