Hubertus von Hohenlohe finished 75th in qualification for the World Cup giant slalom at the Cortina d’Ampezzo on Thursday. The son of actress Ira von Furstenberg and grandson of former Austrian Prince Max Egon zu Hohenlohe-Langenberg, who started for Mexico, missed the test of athletic participation, but still made it to the main competition on Friday thanks to liberal rule.

This is already the 19th World Cup partnership for the 62-year-old.

In terms of sports, only the top 25 medals managed to qualify for the decision. However, 25 nations who will not participate on Friday can nominate a runner with enough FIS points. And Horenlohe are the only Mexicans at the World Cup in Cortina. He starts with number 99 in the first run (10.00 am). 100 runners are on the starting list.

“I didn’t have the strength for the last slope. I was above the fun, below I just survived. It was no longer skiing, ”said Hohenlo after his qualifying run on ORF television. The cast, who also live in Vienna, lost a total of 42.99 seconds to qualify winner James Crawford from Canada, who set the fastest time in both races.
