Edmonton – Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 7:34 am
The final of World Hockey Juniors 2021 is Canada vs USA.
Defending champions and hosts Canada prevailed in Edmonton against Russia for revenge in the final last year, which was quite close at the time with 4: 3, clearly 5: 0.
Alex Newhook ensures a light start after 59 seconds, with Connor Michael (11th), Cole Perfetti (16th) and Brayden Schneider (25th) making things clear before half of the season.
An empty netter from Dylan Cozens (59th) provides the final point.
Austria’s group rival USA has more to work against Finland at 4: 3. The decision is made by Arthur Kaliyev at 1:19 minutes before the end.
Last year, USA, which now has the opportunity to win the first title since 2017, failed in the quarter-finals against “Suomi”.
Both the bronze match and the final between Russia and Finland will take place on Wednesday night at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
