Like in 2019 and 2021, the final of the Ice Hockey World Championship will be Finland vs Canada for the third time in a row.
In the second semi-final in Tampere, “Ahornblatt” clearly defeated the Czech Republic 6:1 and thus had a chance to defend their title against the hosts.
The game had a promising start for the Czechs: Krejci gave them the lead in the 8th minute on the power play. 33 seconds before the first break, however, Cozens again ensures the tie.
After that, the game almost always moves in one direction. Lowry (28th/pp), Johnson (29th) and Barzal (31st/pp) made Canada third in the middle, with Silinger (44th) and then Cojens (53rd) humiliating at the end.
Pasternak missed the second honorary goal with a penalty (47th).
The final will take place in Tampere on Sunday from 19:20 (in live ticker) Earlier at 3:20 pm, the US and the Czech Republic will clash for the bronze. While the Americans won bronze in 2021, the Czech Republic has been waiting for a World Cup medal since 2012.
