in Germany from 2022
Genesis GV60 – Premium Electricity from Korea
Hyundai, the Korean premium brand of Genesis, can’t escape preparing for electric mobility. In the coming year, the first Pure Stromer will be arriving in Germany with its own look called the GV60. However, the technology is known.
After Hyundai and Kia, their premium sister Genesis is also now launching a fully electric series. Like its model brothers the Ioniq 5 and EV6, the GV60 is a mid-sized crossover with an 800-volt system and a range of over 400 kilometers. It should be launched in Germany next year.
Visually, the GV60 naturally wants to differentiate itself from the Hyundai and Kia variants. The sleek front, which emulates the brand’s winged logo, is striking, along with the two-part headlight units.
There is a small spoiler on the round, coupe-like rear end and rear windows optionally merging into the C-pillar. In the cockpit, the rounded shape of the decorative and functional elements is noticeable; The dome-shaped, transparent gear selector switch, illuminated by ambient light, should also be an eye-catcher.
Genesis hasn’t revealed any details about the drive yet. However, it should be based on sister models, which are available with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and a performance value of up to 305 hp. The 800 volt battery system has also been adopted; This enables higher charging capacity and correspondingly shorter charging time.
The range per battery charge should be at least 485 kms. Prices are not yet known, with group sisters starting at around 42,000 euros.
