Munchen – The current mood in Alfonso Davies should have matched the weather: the injured Canadian was stopped by Scheiner Strauss on Tuesday when it was raining.
He dragged himself on crutches and took him for physio treatment. Along the way, we also passed the training area, where the 20-year-old exchanged a few words with her new trainer, Julian Nagelsmann. Assistant Xaver Zembrod and fitness coach Holger Broich also joined in. After a short conversation, Davis went to the performance center – “Fonzie” could laugh again.
Alfonso Davies: Torn ligament in ankle
Davis contracted a torn ligament in his left ankle with the Canada national team. According to FC Bayern, the injury is being treated conservatively, so between four and six weeks of downtime can be expected. Due to his injury, Davis will miss out on the Gold Cup with Canada – and almost certainly a lot of preparation.
