After a short break at the end of the year, Apple has now released beta 2 of iOS 15.2 and the successor to iPadOS 15.2, to developers and private testers. watchOS 8.4 and tvOS 15.3 have also appeared in a new beta.
The build number of iOS 15.3 beta 2 is 19D5040e and that of iPadOS 15.3 beta 2 is 19D5040e. Apple gave watchOS 8.4 beta 2 build numbers 19S5539e and tvOS 15.3 beta 2 19K5541d. Unfortunately there are no signs of new features or bug fixes, but that may change. Unfortunately, there is no trace of the expected Universal Control function. This means that the iPad and iPhone can be operated from the Mac’s keyboard and it is also possible to switch back and forth between the iPad and Mac using a mouse or trackpad. This feature was originally announced last June at WWDC 2021. It was scheduled to be released in autumn 2021, but was then postponed to 2022. An exact date has not been set.
What’s new in tvOS 15.3 beta 2 and watchOS 8.4 beta 2 is also unknown. This may change in the next few days when more people try the operating system.
also appeared yesterday iOS 15.2.1 With some bug fixes that mainly close the security gap.
