IRW Press: Cross River Ventures Corp.: Cross River completes lidar survey on its McVicar Gold project in northwestern Ontario, Canada
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – June 16, 2021 – Cross River Ventures Corp. (CSE: CRVC) (FSE: C6R) (The Company) is pleased to announce the completion of a comprehensive lidar survey on the Company’s 100% owned McVicar Gold Project. The project is located in the Archean Greenstone Belt of the Uchie Subprovince in northwestern Ontario, Canada.
Eagle Mapping of Langley, British Columbia, completed a lidar survey for McVicar on Tuesday, June 8th. LIDAR stands for Light Detection and Ranging and describes a remote-controlled scanning process in which light in the form of a pulsed laser is used to measure distances (variable distances) from Earth. These light pulses, along with other data recorded by the airborne system, generate accurate, three-dimensional information about the project floor’s surface properties.
LIDAR was chosen as an important exploration method for the following reasons:
1. The property has partially underpinned shear-style gold mineralization at several locations.
2. This part of northwestern Ontario is largely covered by a thin layer (1 – 2 m) of glaciers.
Establishing the extent, orientation and thickness of these shear zones will help identify areas for further exploration and advance drill targets. Lidar overcomes bedrock formations and is used to more accurately identify critical shear zones, and, in general, to characterize the structure of the gold camp. Improved structural knowledge provides the company with a framework to prioritize drilling targets.
Once the company receives the final results from this survey, the soil survey (exploration, mapping and sampling) of the high priority targets will begin later this summer.

About the McVicar Project
Cross River’s McVicar Gold Project is a large (~12,000 ha) gold exploration project spanning key structural elements of the entire Lang Lake Greenstone Belt in the Patricia Mining District, approximately 150 km east and north-west of Red Lake. It is 80 km west of Pickle Lake. Ontario, Canada. Expansion of.
The McVicar Project includes all major high-yield structural and geological elements of the belt, bound to the south by the large northwest-trending Bear Head Fault Zone (where Golden Patricia is located).
Historic drilling in the McVicar Lake converted and in the North Flexor Zone includes (AFRI 20000007971):
– 6.46 grams of gold per ton (g/t Au) over 10.09 m (including 29.86 g/t over 1.86 m)
– 5.5 g / t Au 3.6 m . more than
– 11.72 g/t Au 1.52 m . more than
– 33 g / t Au 1.86 m . more than
– 5.0 g / t Au 2.74 m . more than
– 9.3 g / t Au over 2.02 m, ** including
McVicar Lake’s concessions also include the Chelo Wayne Zone, a narrow quartz vein containing minerals ranging from smoky to white quartz with less pyrite and visible gold. The vein system showed high grade gold on the surface. BHP Minerals Canada carried out exploration work in the early 1990s with a series of 34 channel samples normally taken in the vein at approximately two meter intervals along the length of the exposed vein in the trenches. The mean value of the 34 channel samples was 28.8 g/t Au. Three samples (#1078, #1090, #1096) gave the following analysis results:
– 578.1 g / t AU,
– 533.5 g / t au and
– 412.5 g / t au.
Restricted test drilling did not return any significant gold value below known occurrences in the early 1990s. However, Cross River’s engineering team believes that the chelo vein lies in a very wide (one to two kilometers thick) high pressure or deformation zone shaped by a series of parallel shears that have not been systematically tested. Has been done.
Sampling is inherently selective and may not reflect the true grade or type of mineral on the property.
