Russia hopes to start further talks with Ukraine in the afternoon. According to the Interfax agency, the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, said, “I think the talks will start at 3 p.m. (1 a.m. CET).” Russia and Ukraine had previously agreed to a new dialogue with Russia.
Adviser to the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podoliak posted a photo of himself in the helicopter and David Arkhamia, the head of the Ukrainian delegation, on Twitter in the early afternoon. He wrote: “Towards talks with the Russian Federation. Already in helicopters. We will start in a few hours.” Arachmiza wrote on Facebook about “two hours,” which would take place at around 3 p.m. (CET).

Arachmiza stressed that at least the humanitarian corridors should be discussed. The conversation should also be about a ceasefire.
According to Medinsky, the venue was “jointly” agreed upon by both parties. The first talks on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border on Monday did not yield any concrete results.
Zelensky said of the talks in a TV interview that he was ready to return to the position he was in before the Russian attack. But if Russia looks at it differently, they are just a waste of time. (TSP/DPA/AFP)
