Sebastian Kurz is moving from politics to the US economy: the former Austrian chancellor is to take a position as a “global strategist” at an investment company, according to media reports. His boss has German roots and is a strong supporter of Trump.

According to media reports, former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will work for Peter Thiel, a German-American-American technology investor in the future. The 35-year-old has confirmed he will serve as a “global strategist” for Thiel Capital from the first quarter, “Kronenzeitung” and news portal Today reported, citing Kurz.

Born in Frankfurt, Thiel was one of the founders of the online payments service PayPal and the first outside investor in Facebook (now Meta). He is politically conservative and is one of the supporters of former US President Donald Trump. he needs too Multimillion-dollar extreme right-wing candidate Republican support.

Kurz resigned as federal chancellor in October following allegations of corruption. He and some of his close political allies are said to have used taxpayer money to pave their way into the chancellorship to hold elections. Kurz denied the allegations.

As ex-chancellor, he initially remained the head of the conservative VP and leader of the parliamentary group, but in early December he suddenly announced his resignation from all offices. He and his girlfriend became parents a few days back. The birth of his son changed his outlook, he said, and prevented a return to politics.
