While Michael Wendler (49) is sitting in Southwest Florida, things could go downhill really soon…
Bild learned: RTL is working on taking revenge on the former hit star – and looking to send its bigger rival to Jungle Camp.
Who is he? Timo Berger! He is Wendler’s former manager, former confidante, and pre-wedding planner. He recently took Michael to court and demanded 29,500 euros from him. The entrepreneur used the money mainly for flights and hotel accommodation for Wendler and Laura Muller’s planned wedding in Las Vegas.
Michael Wendler’s former confidante should go to Jungle Camp
Berger hasn’t seen the money to date, which is why the bankrupt Wendler goes to hell. He went to visit her personally at Cape Coral with no success.
Now, according to information from BILD, the RTL plan is to unpack Berger at the famous Jungle Campfire. About Wendler, about love for Laura, about everything that really happened behind the TV scenes. Because Timo Berger was still in the Wendler universe as of late last year.
As a reminder: Michael Wendler’s engagement as DSDS juror ended in a disaster for RTL in the autumn of 2020.
He not only dropped out as a juror, but expressed crude conspiracy theories after comparisons to a hideous concentration camp. He then flew from Germany to his adopted home, Cape Coral (Florida). Since then, he has lived there with his wife Laura – even though an arrest warrant has recently been issued against him in Germany.
Sender RTL was planning several projects with Wendler at the time – but thanks to conspiracy theories, they were suddenly to the bin.
This is how RTL once planned with Michael Wendler
BILD unveiled the mega contract between Wendler and RTL in early 2020. The 17-page contract was signed between VOX Television GmbH, which belongs to Mediengruppe RTL, and “Cape Music Inc.” (The company is run by Wendler’s subsidiary Adeline Norberg for tax reasons).
The singer, his wife Laura Muller and daughter Adeline were actually signed up for three formats. In addition to DSDS, it was about a continuation of the documentary soap “Michael Wendler & Laura” and a hit show for the streaming service TVNow.
Mega Volume: 800,000 Euro (700,000 Euro fee and 100,000 Euro for channel exclusivity)! According to BILD information, Wendler and “Cape Music” should have received a portion of the fee before their exit. This is also mentioned in the contract.
Money that eventually went to (almost) nothing! A single episode aired on DSDS with Wendler, then it was cut. The docu-soap was not continued and the shooting of the hit show was also not done.
Now broadcaster RTL can bring news about the Wendler scandal, at least during the best Jungle Camp airtime, to TV. Thanks to Timo Berger. According to BILD information, Wendler’s former manager Marcus Cramp was previously on the candidate’s wish list, but turned down.
Timo Berger has so far left a BILD request unanswered. RTL does not wish to comment on this.
