He is known for his clean talk…

plain text!
“Sunday World”: You’ve already got media attention. In the past, public broadcasters still showed dance tournaments, which are rare today. What happened?
Length: For many years there were TV broadcasts on public broadcasters, but in the 1990s also on Sat.1. It then got worse with new entertainment owners, some of whom used DanceSport for their own business – putting it in a bad light. And then there were people who liked other sports more. But today we are glad that some of the sports directors – NDR, MDR and SWR – are still open to some highlights. Let me tell you a story from a time when I was the media officer of the German Professional Dance Sport Association…
“World on Sunday”: happily.
Length: Young Stephen Simon, who was then the head of sport at the WDR, presented the dance game from my point of view. Soccer, soccer and football matter to him again. Which I don’t mind, but public broadcasters stand for diversity. At that time he asked to speak to me and wanted to broadcast the German Championships live on Saturday evening. 10:30 am would be appropriate. “No,” he said, “at 8:15 pm.” At that time, there was a show on ARD, as well as “Schlag den Raab” and “Deutscheland such den Superstar”. And then with the Latin American Championship came the dancers on the WDR. The next day I received a rate of 0.2 percent and a statement: “Yeah, I’m sorry, Mr. Long, but nobody wants to see a dance sport.” To put it simply: I can make a fool of myself. Thank you, Stephen Simon!
