Düsseldorf An unusual collaboration is likely. As ex-national player Lukas Podolski has now announced on Instagram, a concert with rapper Marteria is set to take place in 2023. What is the whole matter you can know here.

Is soccer pro Lukas Podolski now one of the organizers of the festival? After the 37-year-old, who is currently under contract with Polish First Division club Górnik Zbarz, has already opened several kebab shops, ice cream parlor chain Ice Cream United and a tavern, he is now entering new territory. As he announced on Instagram, he wants to organize a massive concert next year. And that in the middle of North Rhine-Westphalia.

His Instagram post featured black and white shots of “Poldi” flying over the Hockenheim Ring in a helicopter. He declares: “Something big is coming your way next year.” He then calls out rapper Marteria (“Kids (2 fingers on head)”, “Lila Volken”) and explains to her: “I’ve got something right! However, Podolsky does not elaborate on what the rapper should be initially. Instead, he promises to release more information on September 28. He also writes in the post: “As you know, I love music. And I like to make people happy” and is linked to the Instagram account “Happiness Festival”.

More details are already known on the respective website. On 28 September, among other things, it will be announced who will perform at the festival and the festival will be held in Hockenheimring between 14 and 17 September 2023. In the video, Podolski also announced that more than 100,000 visitors are expected.
