    To draw conclusions

NASA rover “Perseverance” sends a picture from Mars to Earth. A viewer can see things on it that should not exist on the Red Planet.

Pasadena – Mars is currently inaccessible to humans – perhaps because it excites inspiration and imagination for many. What people interpret in the Red Planet can be seen again and again when new images of NASA’s rovers “Curiosity” or “Perseverance” are published. Sometimes there is talk of a “weird building” on Mars, sometimes people who have photographed Mars wonder if a rainbow can be seen on it.

One thing is certain: imagination knows no bounds when it comes to pictures of the Red Planet, as shown by a photo taken in August 2021 by the US space agency NASA. Published as “Astronomy Picture of the Day” Is. The photo reminds them of a “partly buried skeleton”, Twitter user @nickstew_art writes and continues: “This is the way the surface was stripped away by wind to expose the layers of rock below . It really is a graveyard planet.”

NASA rover “Perseverance” sends a strange image from Mars: is there a skeleton visible on it?

According to NASA, the image was taken by the Mars rover “Perseverance” on its 180th Mars day (August 22, 2021). A large stone can be seen in the center of the picture, which the researchers named “Rochet”. There are plans for the rover to probe the stone with a two-metre-long robotic arm. If it has the right consistency, a rock sample will be taken, it said in August.

This actually happened in September: the rover “Perseverance” drilled two holes in the stone and sent several selfies with the stone “Rochet” back to Earth. Rock samples must also come to Earth at some point. It is currently planned that a future Mars mission will carry soil samples that the “Perseverance” rover collects and prepares back on Earth.

NASA rovers take pictures of things on Mars that may not exist there

NASA’s rovers keep taking pictures of things on Mars that shouldn’t – and don’t even exist – on the Red Planet. Indeed, the human brain likes to do tricks to see images from Mars. A “female figure” has already been discovered in the rock of Mars, a “floating spoon” or “pyramid”.

The phenomenon that unfolds here is called pareidolia and ensures that people believe they recognize things known in the unknown: for example, a dancing woman on the strange planet Mars. The phenomenon, a kind of “autocompletion” in the brain, also occurs on Earth – for example when you see a face on the Moon or recognize earthly things in cloud formations.

Photo Reveals Bones Found on Mars – NASA Reveals What Can Actually Be Seen

One photograph of Mars is particularly frequent and is repeatedly circulated on the Internet: this picture shows a “human bone” on Mars. As NASA explained at the time, the photo was taken in 2014 and was taken by the “Curiosity” rover. “This mars stone may look like a thigh bone, but team members believe the shape was created by erosion – either by wind or water”, what does nasa say, The Red Planet probably never was able to support organisms more complex than microbes, which is why large fossils are unlikely.

NASA has assured us that there are no human bones to be seen in this image of Mars from 2014. Erosion (by wind or water) brought the stone into this shape.

In fact, the NASA rovers “Curiosity” and “Perseverance” are on Mars to find out whether there was ever life on the Red Planet and whether there are traces of it today. “Perseverance” recently caused a sensation with a special Mars discovery. (tab)
