Together they had their ups and downs, but lots of good times…
Twelve years ago he had rescued his animal friend from an animal shelter. Now movie star Martin Semmelrog (66) has to say goodbye to his loyal terrier mix “Buddy” with a heavy heart.
Terrier Mix Buddy was rescued from an animal shelter in 2010. He became part of the family surrounding actor Martin Semmelroge.
Build from the cult actor (“Das Boot”): “The little one was part of our gang next to our dog ‘Teddy’, who was an actual family member. But unfortunately it didn’t work out anymore. The little boy got a heart valve We have been to the best clinics. He took medicine like a grandpa.”
Buddy was put to sleep after saying goodbye to Mallorca.
Semelrog: “I was on a theater tour for two months. He was waiting for me. We went swimming again to say goodbye. Then we got in the car. He looked out the window, ears twitching But we couldn’t help free him. Now our nice teddy boss is at home.”

Is Buddy’s successor an issue?
Semmelrogge: “Regin and I also considered getting a new dog from home. But that would be unfair. Teddy gets our full attention now. We took the car and ferry from Mallorca to Berlin specifically for him, so that Let us not stress him that much.”
