Master Plan « Free | RAUM » is a sustainable development program to strengthen the active design of common living space and the urban quality of the Altstätt.
The city council summarizes the most important materials in a brochure that will be distributed to all households at the end of October 2021. At the same time, various experts and representatives from the canton and city will present and discuss the material in an information program.
Guiding ideas, target images and key areas are shown
Master Plan « Free | Space » shows how the development of a city can be actively shaped through guiding ideas, targeted images and prominent locations. It summarizes the three dimensions of “settlement/urban development”, “open and green space” and “traffic” in a holistic picture and defines specific measures and projects.
Individual projects are coordinated with each other and measured by their contribution to achieving the desired Sustainable Development Goals. To promote coexistence, strengthen social cohesion and continuously improve the quality of life.
Current Major Projects of the Master Plan «FREI | Space » Old city development, eastern bypass and flood protection are project standbacks. The information program will take place on October 28, 2021 at 7.30 pm in the Sun Room, followed by an aperitif. A certificate is required to participate.
