In honor of comedian Mirko Nonschev († 52) ,
Frank Zander talks to Hugo Egon Balder
Because the occasion was so sad – there was a lot of laughter…
A one-of-a-kind TV shoot with Frank Zander (80, “Here Comes Kurt”) and moderator and producer Hugo Egon Balder (72). The two talked about the late comedian Mirko Nonschev († 52)
Frank Zander on Bild: “The reason for our local political retreat in ‘The Little World Lantern’ is the TV comedy show ‘Saturday Night – A Reunion.’ It was legendary back then. Of course they’re all the stars that were there between 1993 and ’98 There is only one thing: our dear Mirko.”
The Joker was found dead in his Berlin apartment on December 3. And in his honor, the Zander-Balder dialogue was recorded.
Hugo Egon Balder said joyfully on BILD: “This meeting with Frank Zander in the Small World Lantern. Short journey through our common past. Years passed, we were lucky. Old but gold!”
And the common past influenced the young comedian Nonesque, who was on the starting block in 1992.
Zander: “It’s actually true. I was also a record producer. And in 1991 my friend Bruce saw her as a living burden at a fair. He sent a short video to my son Marcus. He showed it to me. Mirko still performed under his stage name ‘Hein Meet Die 3’. Then I shot a demo video with Mirko, then struck a deal with Sony. And then quickly recorded a single with him. It was enjoyable Was. Incredible. A huge talent. I recognized it immediately.”
Zander continues to remember: “It came as it was meant to be. Mad. That year I was supposed to celebrate my 50th birthday. This happened as a surprise party organized by my son Marcus at a famous disco ‘Sugar Shack’ in West Berlin. Among the guests were ‘Marmor, Stein und Eisen Bruch’ singer Druffy Deutscher and ‘Hitparaden’ presenter Uwe Haubner and my old friend Hugo Egon Balder.
Hugo-Egon Balder has been with Frankie a lot in the past. Hugo (the dog) was “Mr. Feldman” in Xander’s ZDF show “Caution Music”. Or one of his hamsters, with whom Xander sang his famous “Happy Birthday” or “Duck Dance” as “Fred Sunshine.”
Berlin cult singer: “Standed in my fire on stage as a newcomer: Mirko Notschev. Our friend Bruce Hammond (Bruce & Bongo) produced the song “Hein mit dem 3. Been” at the time. Well, this one Just like my friend Hugo Aegon saw him for the first time. Hugo, say something!”
Balder Drought: “That’s right. The rest is TV history. I was proud that Frank discovered this talent and put him at the party. Of course I signed him on the spot for the ‘Saturday Night’ comedy show, which The plans were being made at the time. This had never happened before on German television. The concept was completely insane. Mirko fits perfectly with his appearance and his timing. It was his success.”
The telecast of the reunion program is on 15.10. 8.15 pm (RTL).
Frank Zander concluded: “Today was the reunion of two real street dogs. I was glad to meet my friend Hugo again after a long time. The occasion was a bit sad, as we reviewed the life of Mirko Nontsche. And he wanted to. Was that we toast him with beer.”
