Blizzard has announced that Diablo Immortal 2 will be available for free on PC and mobile in most regions of the world starting June 2. On the one hand, Diablo Immortal is the first Blizzard game to be developed from the ground up for mobile devices. On the other hand, Blizzard also drew criticism with it and hence the title is now visible on PC as well.
Diablo Immortals will go into open beta on PC for release on June 2. Diablo Offshoot supports both cross-play and cross-progression, so players and their characters can fight each other regardless of platform and seamlessly switch between mobile and PC gameplay. The Open Beta will include all game features on PC, including cross-play and cross-progression, and all progress will be retained upon completion.
Diablo Immortals: What Players Will Expect
In Diablo Immortal, players can choose between six Diablo classes: Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, or Wizard. In the main quest of the story, they embark on a journey into the Eight Realms and the great city of Westmark. New and familiar Diablo characters like Deckard Cain will make an appearance. The story will take place between the events of Diablo 2 and Diablo 3.
Blizzard Diablo refers to the Immortal
As an MMOARPG then a “Massively Multiplayer Online Action-RPG”. Sharing a vast world with other players, players can form Warbands of up to eight members to take on group challenges such as Raid Boss. You can join clans of up to 150 people to earn Clan Achievements. Diablo Immortals also offers a faction-based PvP system: the best player on the server then receives the Eternal Crown as a symbol of the Immortal’s leader and can defend himself in a 1v30 showdown, for example.
Diablo Immortal is available for free
Diablo Immortal will be free to play, which also means that in-game purchases will be optional. The game will be available on PC (via Battle.Net), Android and iOS when it releases on June 2. Blizzard announced that developers will regularly release new content for Diablo Immortals for free over the coming years, including new areas, dungeons, and character classes.
