+++ 03.10.2021: German show jumpers disappointed: only sixth in Nations Cup +++
After a promising start, the German show jumpers fell short of expectations in the Nations Cup final in Barcelona. National coach Otto Becker’s team finished sixth in the test on Sunday with €1.25 million and managed to rest themselves with €75,000. The first was a Dutch player with zero penalty points. The quartet can expect 417,000 euros. Ireland were only one penalty point poor, with third-placed Belgium crossing the finish line with four penalties.
The German team advanced to the final round of the top eight on Friday as the winners of the qualification. Not so with Andre Thiem: there was a timing error with DSP Chakaria. And David Will was unlucky too. He was thrown twice by Sea Wear 2 and received a one time penalty. Christian Ahlmann made no mistake with the Clintrexo Z, but he also made a timing error.
