New interactive space opens at Nature Museum
Visitors should be more involved in the design of the exhibitions. The Lucerne Museums are also launching a photo contest.
A room has been opened at the Lucerne Nature Museum, “in which everything revolves around the visitors,” as the Cantonal Museum reports. It is a “large, accessible and interactive platform”. It “invites visitors to play with themselves in order to communicate and exchange, realistic or visionary, with small or big desires for the world”, it goes on. This campaign will run till March 13. In the future, there are to be more activities in the cantonal museums to engage visitors more closely in what is happening in the museum.
The Cantonal Museums are also holding a photo contest for the planned special exhibition “Conquering the Night”. What is needed is “magical and atmospheric images of the night” or photographs “that show wild, pristine nature at night”. The competition runs until 31 March, outstanding photographs will be awarded and shown in the exhibition. further information: www.historischesmuseum.lu.ch, (std)
