Gamescom will have new details on the next offshoot in the series, according to a teaser from Geoff Keighley and the official Saints Row Twitter account. However, more details are not yet known.
Before 2019 in early August, it was announced that a new Saints Row was in the works. Gamescom should finally have time for developers to show off the first material about the game or at least reveal some details.
A reboot for Saints Row
At first, such rumors were promoted by Geoff Keighley, who is known, for example, as the organizer of the Summer Games Fest. Keighley posted a short video on Twitter on Wednesday referring to the Gamescom launch. In it a brick wall can be seen sprinkled with frescoes, on which the word “rebooting” is depicted in the center with the lily typical of Saints Row.
Soon after, backlash came from the official Saints Row Twitter account, which has now adopted the brick wall as its profile picture. Besides, the picture is still saints row official website To watch – the teaser could hardly be more official.
Deep Silver, the new rights holder and publisher of Saints Row, and Deep Silver Volition, the studio behind the next installment, will distribute content for the reboot of the Saints Row series at Gamescom. However, it is still unclear what will be shown or under what name the next Saint Row will appear.

Presumably the reboot will simply reappear as “Saints Row”, or the previous numbers will continue and the game will launch as Saints Row 5. Despite the name, fans of the series should certainly be glad that after so many years of Saints Row 4 (2013) finally there will be information about the next part. Since Saints Row (5) has been in development for over two years, it can also be speculated that the game’s release date will be announced at Gamescom.
