This was the first Ariane 5 launcher launch of that year. This brought a new telecommunication satellite into space. Among other things, this ship should be able to help passengers.
Kourou (DPA) – The new telecommunication satellite “Eutelsat Quantum” has launched into space on an Ariane 5 launcher.
Rocket operator Arianespace announced that the rocket took off from the European Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, on Friday evening. It was the first Ariane 5 flight of that year.
According to the European Space Agency Essa, the “Eutelsat Quantum” satellite can be reprogrammed in space. It can be selected exactly where the satellite rays are sent. These can run in real time and thus provide information to air passengers and ship passengers as well.
The European launcher also carried the Star One D2 telecommunications satellite operated by Brazilian operator Embratel. The satellite is intended to help expand broadband networks in Central and South America.
