In the future, the Italian subsidiary will primarily fly passengers to the Lufthansa hub. Air Dolomity is no longer on the road domestically.
Air Dolomity returns to its roots. As Managing Director Stefan Herberth explains in an interview with specialist magazine Travel Quotidiano, the Italian Lufthansa subsidiary will again become a net feeder airline to the German hubs in Munich and Frankfurt. It no longer operates domestic flights.
And it is expanding. From May 2, two Embraer E195s will be used for feeder flights to Lufthansa Frankfurt to Grazu, Innsbruck and Linz. Since the previous weekend, the Brindisi–Munich route is served on Saturdays and Sundays. However, Air Dolomiti flights between Italian cities can no longer be booked
17 Embraer Jets
The expansion plans that once existed for Florence were abandoned, as the Portal Italia Vola states. Also, according to Herberth, there should only be a few leisure charter flights. In total, the Air Dolomity fleet now consists of 17 Embraer E195s. The last two come from its sister airline Lufthansa Cityline.
