Nursing staff protest compulsory vaccination in Rosenheim area

In the Rosenheim district, health sector nurses and other workers warn of the consequences of requiring occupational vaccination. According to initiator Christina Bofinger, there is a risk of a supply shortage. Within just 10 days, 850 employees from more than 20 institutions in the area signed the letter of protest.

Nurses who do not vaccinate face dismissal

Nursing staff in hospitals and older people’s homes are soon threatened with dismissal, says Bofinger: “We love working in intensive care medicine, we’re also tested every day, and we don’t care about our vaccination partners. Just like do your job responsibly.” The COVID-19 vaccination did not provide any permanent protection against infection. Given the insufficient effectiveness, it is questionable whether this interference with the free exercise of a profession is justified, according to Sabine Lauterborn, an anesthesia specialist and signer of the open letter. You are asking the Bundestag to withdraw the law.

Handing over signatures to Bundestag members

At first they collected signatures only from illiterate people, but meanwhile many vaccinated people who refused further boosters joined the campaign. When the signature lists were handed over to CSU member Daniela Ludwig of the Bundestag, plans for general vaccination were also criticized. Ludwig, who is also a member of the CSU executive board, said she was extremely skeptical about such a duty: “What do we force people to do, at what intervals, how many vaccinations, with what substances? ?” In view of these unresolved questions, according to Ludwig, compulsory vaccination would be an extreme encroachment on individual liberty.
