In the coming months, Office.com, the Office app for mobile devices, and Office applications for Windows, will be renamed. It changes the design, icons, and functionality, leaving everyone talking only about Microsoft 365. So anyone who uses one of the dedicated Office applications in the future will see the Microsoft 365 logo. On Office.com, the transition will begin as a new logo and design in November 2022, before Office applications for Windows, iOS and Android will also be renamed from January 2023. As before, Microsoft bundles 365 products teamsWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Loop, Clipchamp, Stream and Designer.
However, marketing of products under the name of Office doesn’t end overnight. Sales of standalone versions for desktop installation to private and corporate customers will continue under the Office brand as long as Office 2021 And the office LTSC is being abolished in a phased manner. However, new features and new versions will be marketed under the new name, i.e. as Microsoft 365 and no longer as Microsoft Office.
Microsoft first introduced the Office brand on November 19, 1990, so it had been around for 32 years.
