Olaf Schmidt is EV Landshut’s new goalkeeper: German-Canadian comes from Ravensburg

EV Landshoot is representing himself as the goalkeeper for DEL2 season 2021/22 and has signed Olafra Schmidt from Rensburg Towerstar. The 25-year-old German-Canadian has signed a two-year contract at Landshoot until the summer of 2023. Schmidt and ex-national goalkeeper Dmitry Patzold will make the goalkeeper team in the EVL in the coming season.

Over the past two years, the goalkeeper, who comes from Lakeview, Quebec, Canada, has stood between the positions for the Rensburg Towerstars and knows the league from the inside.

Schmidt has now made 96 appearances in the second-largest German league, has steadily developed, but has plenty of potential as well. He has averaged 2.72 goals in the current season, the fifth best value of all DEL2 goalkeepers. Its catch quota is very good at 90.17 percent. “His catch quota is really impressive.
