US airline Airbus is increasing 30 aircraft in its order for A220s. JetBlue now leads the list of the largest A220 customers—just ahead of another airline in the United States.

Airbus breaks 700 jets limit on orders
JetBlue has received eight aircraft so far. “We achieved a double-digit increase in customer satisfaction ratings,” says airline boss Robin Hayes, also praising the Airbus A220’s fuel efficiency. The 30 additional copies enabled the Embraer E190 to be phased out more quickly, the airline writes.
With the new order, Airbus has broken the 700 firm order limit for the A220, which includes orders from the C-series era. The smaller A220-100 has only 102 examples, while the A220-300 now has 618. By the end of January 2022, 52 A220-100 and 143 A220-300 had already been delivered.
