The Swiss handbiker won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Bai-Comu, Canada.
Sandra Stockley was immediately successful in her first race at the Para-cycling World Championships. The Swiss finished third in the time trial, behind the better winner Janet Jensen (NED) and Norwegian Susannah Tangen. For St. Gallen, who won the overall World Cup last Sunday, it was the first World Championships medal in a time trial. ,
“I’m happy about the bronze medal, of course I would have won the silver, but this is a World Cup medal and this is the first Swiss medal,” Stockley said at the end.
A year earlier at the World Championships in Cascais, Portugal, she was 5th in the time trial. “A year ago I was far from the podium, so this medal means a lot to me and it is a huge success,” said the handbiker. ,
