Police rebut Revolverheld - 4500 fans have to go home

Revolverheld announces concert cancellation on Instagram

The local police, the German Red Cross (DRK) and the fire department only advised the organizer in a briefing. The reason for this was a severe weather warning that reached Ludwigsburg at 9:40 pm. Exactly ten minutes later, the organizers decided to give only 20 minutes to Revolverheld with Ludwigsburg fans. According to “STN” the last song of that evening was “I’ll leave the lights on for you” – then everyone had to go home.

Apparently, this incident gave further explanation for the Hamburg band. On the Revolverheld Instagram account, the band reported to their fans that night. In a video, singer Strait explained that the band hadn’t had a concert like this in 20 years.

Again, his explanation for the demolition did not match that of the police. Strait: The decision was made by the “crisis team” and “safety first” was the most important thing.

The whole evening was still “fantastic” and we’ll be back “very soon”. Maybe next time the band is better off talking to local officials – so everyone knows exactly who gets to decide in the event of a storm.
