Even in the court, a princess does not have the freedom of a fool…
There has been a stir in the Netherlands regarding the 18th birthday of Crown Princess Amalia. They celebrated it last Saturday in the royal gardens of Huis ten Bosch Castle.
According to a government spokesperson, 21 invitations were sent. But as reported by the newspaper “De Telegraaf”, around 100 people are said to have attended.
Problem: In the Netherlands (event at 650) there are currently only four private guests allowed at the ceremony.
Amalia’s father, King Willem-Alexander (54), apologized to Prime Minister Mark Rutte (54). “The king informed him that upon closer inspection it was not a good idea to hold it in his park.”
Palace experts suspect that the apology may have been a disorienting maneuver after rumors of love surfaced about Amalia’s German boyfriend.
It is unknown whether Münsterland’s millionaire descendants were also in the controversial party.
